Safety starts with you and your family. Take a few minutes to discuss and agree on where to meet, who to call, and what to bring in case of emergency. This page gives you the framework — print it, fill it in, and keep it in a safe place.

Why a Family Plan matters

During an emergency, there is no time to organize. If your family has already discussed and agreed on what to do, where to meet, and who to contact, everyone will know how to behave even if you are not together at that moment.

An effective family plan answers three questions:

  1. Where do we meet? — Agreed meeting points
  2. Who do we call? — Out-of-town reference contact
  3. What do we bring? — Where the emergency kit is kept

Fill in your Plan

Print this page (or copy on a sheet of paper) and complete with your data. Stick the result on the fridge or in another visible spot. Update every 6 months.

What to do during the event

  1. Stay calm, follow the agreed plan
  2. Use the appropriate behavior for each risk: see What to Do Now
  3. Reach the meeting point if separated
  4. Communicate with the out-of-town reference as soon as possible (local lines may be jammed but interregional ones often work)
  5. Listen to official sources only (Civil Protection, IT-alert, official social media of the Group)
